Latinx (lah-teen-ex) is a Western-created gender neutral term that is situated at the intersection of ethnicity and gender identity. The term offers all persons of Latin descent, including gender non-conforming members of the community, language to celebrate all people of Latin heritage. Knowing the U.S. context for the term, what do people around the world think of Latinx? Do you use the term in your conversations?
Join panelists Jay Max, Claudia Veronica Medina Quispe, Danielle Rodriguez, Deborah Bennett, and Simone Pilon, as they explore the usage of Latinx in relation to their cultural contexts, global positionality, and lived experiences.
Co-sponsored by the Latin American Association of Berklee Students & Liberal Arts and Sciences.
