The Bill Pierce MLK Scholarship Fund was established by the Association of Faculty and Staff of African Descent (AFSAD) in 2009 with a generous initial donation from former faculty member Walter Beasley, and has continued with additional and ongoing contributions from Berklee faculty, staff, students, alumni, the Berklee’s Faculty Union, and friends of Berklee.
