Join us for the 2021 Liberal Arts and Sciences Symposium Soul Train 50: Black Music, Movement, and Media on Friday, April 2nd from 12:00p.m.–2:30p.m. EST!
The symposium will feature guest speakers Tony Cornelius (son of Soul Train host Don Cornelius) and Richard Gay discussing the history and evolution of Soul Train. In addition, scholars of music and dance Kyra Gaunt and Moncell Durden will join in conversation with Boston Conservatory's Chair of Dance Mila Thigpen about Soul Train's legacy and influence on youth and social dance from 1971 to today. The webinar will also include clips from the show curated and presented by Berklee Music History professors.
